Brennecke wins John M. Prausnitz Award

Prof. Joan Brennecke received the John M. Prausnitz Award at the 11th International Conference on Properties and Phase Equilibria for Product and Process Design (PPEPPD) in Hersonissos, Crete, Greece. She gave the award lecture in front of a packed lecture hall on May 22, 2007. The photo at right shows Prof. Prausnitz congratulating Prof. Brennecke.
The Prausnitz Award is given every three years by the international organizing committee of the PPEPPD meeting in recognition of outstanding research in the areas of thermodynamics and phase equilibria. Previous winners are Thanos Panagioutopolous of Princeton, Pablo Debenedetti also of Princeton, and David Kofke of the University of Buffalo.
