Paluch to Receive 2013 AIChE Separations Division Research Award

Andrew S. Paluch, recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame, receiving his Ph.D. in chemical engineering in April 2013, has been named the recipient of a 2013 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Separations Division Graduate Student Research Award. Sponsored by the Separations Division of AIChE, the award will be presented during the annual awards dinner in November 2013.

Guo Receives DOE CAREER Award

Ruilan Guo, an assistant professor in the University of Notre Dame’s Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, has been named a recipient of a 2013 U.S. Department of Energy Early Career Development Research Program award. The program, now in its fourth year, is designed to bolster the nation’s scientific workforce by providing support to exceptional researchers during the crucial early career years, when many scientists do their most formative work.

Hsueh-Chia Chang, Bayer Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, has been named recipient of the 1st Source Commercialization Award celebrating research that has made it to the marketplace.
