Brennecke Elected to National Academy of Engineering

Joan F. Brennecke, the Keating-Crawford Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, has been elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for her innovation in the use of ionic liquids and supercritical fluids for environmentally benign chemical processing.

Graduate student Paluch wins AICHe award

Andrew Paluch, a graduate student in Ed Maginn's group, won the 2011 outstanding graduate student award from the Computational Molecular Science and Engineering Forum (CoMSEF) of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. The award was presented to Andrew at the fall AIChE meeting in Minneapolis. Congratulations!
