William F. Schneider and Edward J. Maginn, in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE), have been appointed to new editorial roles at The Journal of Physical Chemistry C.
A title of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the journal publishes original experimental and theoretical basic research contributed by leading physical and biophysical chemists and chemical physicists from around the world.
Schneider, the Dorini Family Chair of Energy Studies and department chair of CBE, was named executive editor. In this role, he will develop and manage strategies to expand the journal’s theory and computation contributions, a growing element of research in all physical sciences.
Maginn, the Keough-Hesburgh Chair of Engineering, was appointed a senior editor of the journal. Senior editors are the primary interface between authors and the journal, managing the peer review process.
