Jin Huang

Assistant Professor, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Areas of Interest
Professor Huang’s research combines accelerated materials discovery with fundamental studies of materials and electrochemical interfaces to advance sustainable energy technologies. His group develops autonomous research platforms that integrate high-throughput experimentation, artificial intelligence, advanced characterization, and electrochemistry to rapidly discover new materials while uncovering the fundamental mechanisms governing their activity, selectivity, and stability. These capabilities are applied to challenges in electrocatalysis and electrosynthesis. By integrating data-driven discovery with mechanistic understanding, the group aims to establish new design principles for functional materials and transform how materials research is conducted.
